How it works
Perhaps one of the reasons for why 24-7 prayer rooms are multiplying around the world is that they provide a focus and a framework many of us need to live up to our aspirations in prayer. Of course, accountability and discipline aren't exactly the most thrilling words in the dictionary, but they are vital to discipleship. So the prayer room's system of one hour shifts in a fixed location undoubtedly helps us to pray, because if we don't turn up to do a slot, it will be noticed! This can be a useful incentive, sometimes dragging us screaming and kicking into God's presence!
