"It can be so easy to turn up and just be an audience at any church today - but church like this can be an incredibly lonely place, especially for students away from home who are unsure of how to be more a part of a family of believers. But when Jesus prays for us - and this is His prayer every day - He prays that we might be one, as He and the Father are one (John 17:11, 21 - 23). He prays that we might be united and have restored relationships. He prays that we might live in love and community, just as He and the Father live in love and community. The apostle Paul likens church to a body made up of many different parts. Just as the body needs its every part to function at its best, so the church needs every member, including every student, to get stuck in, serve each other and people outwith it. MBC is determined to live out the calling to be the community, household and family of God, and we are committed to involving and loving every student as part of that calling."
