Sundays at MBC
REFURBISHMENT OF CENTRAL HALL
It is great to be in a position to give more detail about the plans for the time we need to be out of Central Hall, allowing refurbishment work to be carried out.
Service plans from 15 April 'til the end of the summer
- 9.30am service at Central Hall. A quieter, shorter, more reflective service with no children's programme or creche
- 3.00pm service at Kings Church, Viewforth (EH3 9PL) A contemporary service with full mbc kids' programme including creche. (Please note change to time)
- 6.30pm service at CCE, Newington. (EH8 9NZ) An upbeat, contemporary service.
It is fabulous to have managed to arrange a home for each of our Sunday services from Sunday 15 April onwards. Whilst there is a challenge that these are three different locations, each service has an ideal venue. This brings an opportunity to develop friendships with other churches and to get to know our city better. We've said all along that our church is not about a building, and this season will help remind us of that.
If you are thinking of worshipping with us on a Sunday we want you to feel welcome and at ease so here's some information we thought you might find useful.
The general stuff
- try to come slightly early as parking at each venue can be difficult
- information about travelling to Central Hall can be found here.
- King's Church Viewforth is about 10 minutes walk East of Central Hall (EH3 9PL). Directions to King's Church here.
- CCE (Community Church Edinburgh) is located at South Clerk Street, Newington (EH8 9NZ). Directons to CCE here.
- you don't need to dress up!
- our services are informal and you won't be embarrassed by not knowing what to do
- we have a welcome team who will greet you when you arrive and can answer any questions
- disabled access at Central Hall - there is a lift available which is accessed via Dunbar Street (round the corner from the main entrance) - this entrance is manned on Sundays
- as a church we have a wide age range of people worshipping with us - from almost 0 to over 100 in fact so please know that you will not feel out of place and will be most welcome!
