Growing Together

Hub12

On sunday at the 11.15 service if you are in S1-S3 we'd encourage you to come along to Hub12. After the first part of the worship, we leave the Braid Centre and head along to a local family's home.

We try to provide a place that is fun, relevant, relational and encouraging - where you can grapple with the real issues of life with friends who understand and leaders who are well informed about how God comes into all of this!

We return to the Braid Centre for 12.45pm, where you can meet back up with your family.

Youth Bible Study

If you are in S3-S6 then YBS is the place to come to learn how to apply God's words through the highs and lows of life.

YBS is led by young people, for young people, and in young people's homes. It's an informal and friendly time with lots of laughs as well as learning as you share and grow together.

Groups are led by young people and also have adult mentors from the youth team present to help out, encourage and support you!

Mentoring

We strongly believe that you can benefit greatly from having the support, guidance and encouragement of significant adults in your life. Therefore we also offer you the opportunity of having a mentoring relationship with an adult from mbc. You will meet with your mentor once every week or two, and spend time chatting and catching up, as well as seeking to grow closer to God through a variety of different avenues, such as prayer or bible study.

Not sure about a one to one mentoring relationship? We also provide small group mentoring opportunities, where 4-6 of you can get together with a few adults. It has the same focus and direction as the one-on-one mentoring, but this may be more your style.

Powerpoint

Powerpoint is a citywide youth event supported by Scripture Union. Every month 400 young people come together for an evening of meeting with God through song, games, prayer and a talk. It is fun, fast, loud and deliberately aimed at young people!

See www.powerpointedinburgh.co.uk for more info. During term time, it is held on Friday evenings once every 5-6 weeks at various venues, 7.30-10pm.
