Serving
Think you've got a gift or ability that you would like to test out? Want to get involved, have some fun, and help others? Have a look below and see what you think you could do!
Music
If you are musically gifted and able then there may be an opportunity for you to get involved in a band. From informal and fun times when we are all together at weekends away to more formally leading church worship you can find a place to use your gifts.
From time to time we also provide a forum where you can come together for music coaching and worship training.
Local and not so local
We want to encourage you to serve God in line with their gifting and what you see to be local and international needs. As a church we do lots in the community that you might like thinking about being involved with - see the be involved pages - but also in other areas of the UK and abroad through summer missions and gap year programmes.
Why not have a look at our Be Involved section and see what you could do at mbc?
Prayer
At times everyone, including young people, can really value having someone to pray with - we have trained people at Sunday services who are available to pray with young people either at the end of the service or during the service. These people can be identified by the badge that they are wearing ("Prayer Ministry") and can be found at the front of the church.
SU groups
Within MBC, there are a number of adults and young people who run or attend Scripture Union groups within schools across the city. We see SU groups as having great value and potential, and consequently, we wish to encourage those groups where we have a connection through people at MBC. The SU groups usually meet during one lunchtime within the school week, and are a great place for young people to meet together and bring friends along to. Each group is different, but the aim of every group is to build relationships with young people and encourage each young person's relationship with Jesus Christ.
