Centurion
... serving Service individuals and families practically and spiritually
Then Jesus said to the centurion, "I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel...." Luke 7:9.
At Centurion we aim to serve service individuals and their families in the Edinburgh area practically and spiritually. We offer a hospitality based ministry which provides an opportunity for fellowship and a way in to church for commissioned and non-commissioned service personnel from many different cultural backgrounds.
Many of these service individuals are far from home and family. They need encouragement, support and a place outside the barracks where they can enjoy Christian fellowship, sport, music, rest and a home.
How can you help?
We need help with the following:
- writing regularly to service people throughout their deployment
- offering an occasional meal and a home from home
- organising sporting activities
- music jamming and worship sessions
- generally help us built relationships and enjoy life together
- your prayers
If you can offer any of these things, we would love to hear from you!
The broader the age spectrum involved in Centurion the better. Families and single, young and mature are all welcome. No service background is required, just a heart to love and serve others.
