Missional Expressions

Workplace

"Whatever you do , work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3:23-24

'Christians in work spend more time in the workplace than in any other place. The workplace is, day in, day out, the one place where non-Christians can see the difference that being a Christian makes.' Mark Greene

Who is this for?

If you feel that God has put it on your heart to be a witness to those in your work place, then this missional expression is for you. Together we want to bring the good news of Jesus to our colleagues, through our actions and our words.

What will this look like?

The focus will be to seek God to work in our colleagues' lives and to give us opportunities to share the gospel with them. This doesn't mean that we will not minister to each other in other areas of our lives. It would start as a group of people who've been given a heart for their workplace - getting together to eat, worship and pray - seeking God's will and encouraging one another.

Relationships and community will be key - with our colleagues and with each other. The way we build those relationships could take any number of forms. If our colleagues love music, then an activity could be arranged around that. If they love food, then dinner parties could be the way. If it's film, then we'll host movie and discussion nights. It could be any of the above, or - if lots of people join - all of the above!
