occasionally asked questions [and attempted answers]
I'm new to the church -
how do I meet people?
We are a welcoming church and do all we can to make you feel welcome.
Firstly, join us for a coffee in the lower hall after the service!
Secondly, join a small group. We place a strong
emphasis on our small groups - it's a great way to meet people
and explore the bible throughout the week. Find
out more in our members area.
what is after eight?
A rather nice mint chocolate... Yes, but it's also the
name for the group which meets every Sunday evening at 8pm. It's
for those aged 16+ and is a great way to meet other young people
and students in a chilled atmosphere.
go on, tell me, what is
adrenaline?
Adrenaline is for those in S1 - S4 and meets most Friday evenings
at mbc. A varied programme of activities is arranged - email Sheena
to find out more...!
can I order a tape of a
particular service?
Yes! All 11am and 6.30pm services are taped and you can order
one by logging into the members area or filling in a request form
in the vestibule.
how can I get an article
in the church magazine?
Simply pass on anything for inclusion in mbc news to Alison Drever
or Martin Campbell Smith - it's that simple! You can also email
mbcnews@mbc.org.uk
what
is alpha all about?
Alpha is an informal introduction to the Christian faith. It's
low key, not pressured and you're in control. Groups meet to have
a meal, listen to a speaker and chat through the issues it raises.
