called to worship at morningside baptist church

Our whole lives are called to be worship to God. We believe on a Sunday we become the church gathered, as we praise God, hear from his word and encourage each other.

For the rest of the week we are the church scattered, called still to worship our King and Saviour and witness for him in our daily lives.

In our services we seek to encourage those who attend to walk more closely with God and to help each other in this walk.

We place a significant emphasis on collective praise and worship.

On a typical Sunday we have three Worship Services:

9.30-10.30am
A fairly traditional order of service is followed for our early morning worship. Held at the Braid Centre.

9.30am - 11.00am
This service is held at mbc Holy Corner.
This is a family service where separate children's teaching is provided. A creche is also provided for our little ones, children aged 3-11 have Sunday Club and our S1 and S2 young people have HUB12.

11.15am-12.45pm
This service is held at the Braid Centre.

mbc covenant prayer:

Almighty God,
Lord of the Church,
We want you to have your way among us,
Our desire is to know you better,
To love you more, and to serve you faithfully.

Relying on God’s grace,
we covenant together
To be a family of your people
Where your Word is our rule,
Your Spirit is our guide,
Your love is our motive,
And your glory is our goal.

We commit ourselves afresh
To support one another, to look out for one another
And to encourage one another.
May our life together in Christ be such good news
That many will come to believe.

Amen
