youth and student stuff at morningside baptist church edinburgh!

adrenaline
Adrenaline meets on Friday evenings of school term time from 7.30pm – 9.30pm in the church upper hall at mbc Holy Corner. Everyone in S1-6 is very welcome.

Our programme usually contains a wide variety of crazy games, trips to Laser Quest, ten pin bowling, fundraisers, movie nights… to name but a few things!! In addition, each month we visit ‘Power Point’ which is an event for young people across Edinburgh with great Bible teaching, lively worship and some silly stuff thrown in!

Adrenaline is hopefully a place you can feel free to invite friends along to for a great evening. If you want something to look forward to at the end of the week come along and join us! Check out the church bulletin sheet each week to see what's on…

youth bible study
YBS is run by young people, for young people in young peoples' homes. We meet to study the Bible (different people lead each week), encourage and pray for one another, and generally get to know God better. We are also trying to be more outward-looking so feel free to bring along friends! Check out the back of the church bulletin sheet to see where YBS is meeting each week , or contact our Youth Pastor, Scott Burton for more info: scott@mbc.org.uk

girly nights & lads nights
Every couple of months we have social nights for the girls and guys - usually involving chocolate/ make-up/ boy-chat at one and PS2 action/ football chat at the other… These are usually held in family homes and are run by a group of grown-up girlies and guys!

other stuff!
That's our regular programme of activities for young people, but we also run on an ad-hoc basis: small discipleship groups, 1:1 mentoring, baptismal groups, girls bible study, guys bible study… We are always open to new ideas that will help us grow in our walk with God, so if you have any suggestions or would like to be involved in any of the above, let us know!

Any questions, feel free to drop our youth pastor Scott Burton a note at scott@mbc.org.uk

youth mission statement:

MBC Youth Ministries aims to tell young people in contact with the church the Good News of the Gospel and convey the importance of developing a personal faith and relationship with God.

This will be done by Bible based teaching, opportunities to discuss issues arising and nurturing those who have made a commitment.

It is hoped that through Christian love and fellowship amongst our nucleus of young people others will be drawn, with more specific outreach to the local community as is discerned appropriate.

Christian love in action will be encouraged by involvement in local areas of need and support of mission world-wide.
